The story begins on May 10, 1816 with Joseph Grégoire, a child taken in as an orphan on the porch of the Hôtel Dieu in Nantes. He no doubt owes his name “lieu-beau” to the quality and hospitality of the place. Joseph Grégoire Lieubeau was raised in a family of winegrowers, where he learned the trade. He was the founder of the family and of the Domaine. Today, the family story continues with Pierre, Chantal and their children François, Vincent and Marie. Generation after generation, know-how and experience are passed on, always with the same concern for excellence. This is where you'll find the famous Muscadet Crus. The Lieubeau family began converting to organic farming in 2015 and are now certified. Observation guides their daily activities. The weather station and vineyard mapping tool they have developed refine their knowledge of terroirs and vintages, and help them adjust viticultural work to each plot.”
