Production notes

Soil(s) : Clay-limestone Vinification : Grapes are harvested at phenolic maturity. An initial selection of berries is made at harvest time. A state-of-the-art sorting table then selects the highest-quality berries, which are then crushed and transported to the vats. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled concrete vats. 50% of Château La Vaisinerie's production is matured in French oak barrels for 12 to 14 months, 1/3 in new barrels, 1/3 in one-wine barrels and 1/3 in two-wine barrels.

Tasting notes

Tasting notes: Deep red color with garnet highlights. The nose is expressive, with notes of red berries (blackcurrant, raspberry, redcurrant) intermixed with notes of undergrowth, toast and menthol. The palate is suave, with a silky, coated texture. Well-balanced, with a freshness that gives good length. Julien Viaud - Oenologist Wine and food pairings : Turkey braised in red wine and duck breast glazed with beer and maple syrup.
