About this winery
The Schmitt Söhne family winery was founded over 100 years ago along the banks of the Mosel River in Longuich, Germany. Today, it is managed by the fifth generation of the Schmitt family. While they started as a small local winery, their core mission evolved into creating highly approachable, high-quality, and modern wines tailored to international tastes—especially in North America, where they launched their massively successful "Family-series" in iconic blue bottles back in 1996.
