About this winery
The story begins on May 10, 1816 with Joseph Grégoire, a child taken in as an orphan on the porch of the Hôtel Dieu in Nantes. He no doubt owes his name “lieu-beau” to the quality and hospitality of the place. Joseph Grégoire Lieubeau was raised in a family of winegrowers, where he learned the trade. Production notes
Hand-harvested, sorted by plot. Whole bunch pneumatic pressing with juice selection. Light cold settling. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged 24 months on lees, in underground vats.
Tasting notes
Smooth texture with notes of smoke, candied citrus and sweet spices. Food pairing: Grilled fish, white meats and exotic cuisines.
