About this winery

The story begins on May 10, 1816 with Joseph Grégoire, a child taken in as an orphan on the porch of the Hôtel Dieu in Nantes. He no doubt owes his name “lieu-beau” to the quality and hospitality of the place. Joseph Grégoire Lieubeau was raised in a family of winegrowers, where he learned the trade. Production notes

Pneumatic pressing with juice selection. Cold settling. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged for 6 to 9 months on lees, in underground vats, with regular stirring.
