About this winery
The history of Labouré-Roi is intimately linked to that of Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of the emblematic Côte de Nuits. Founded in 1832, Labouré-Roi is now one of the great names in Burgundy. Its historical roots in the heart of one of the world's most fragmented and demanding vineyards has shaped a philosophy of excellence and discovery.

Production notes
Vinification of Gamay “à la bourguignonne” to give it structure and elegance, while retaining its pleasant crispness and fruitiness. The grapes are completely destemmed. Temperature-controlled maceration and fermentation with punching down twice a day. Two weeks in fermentation tanks with temperatures averaging 25-28°C. After pressing, temperatures were lowered and the wine transferred to stainless steel tanks to preserve maximum fruit aromas. Malolactic fermentation takes place at 100% to allow the wine to soften.
Tasting notes
Appearance: elegant ruby color. Nose: pleasant aromas of spices and red fruits, such as crisp, crunchy cherries. Palate: a round attack with aromas of ripe fruit and a finish of elegant, supple tannins. Enjoy with charcuterie, pasta, white or smoked ham, couscous, beef in sauce, grilled meat, roast cockerel, camembert or brie.
