About this winery

Le Clos Saint-Jean is a family estate located in the commune of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the heart of the southern Rhône Valley vineyards. The vineyard covers some forty hectares and cultivates grape varieties typical of the region, such as Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Muscardin, Mourvèdre and Vaccarèse. Production notes

The old vine Grenache is aged in vat and the Mourvedre is aged in 100% new and used French oak barrels.

Tasting notes

Reddish in color with medium intensity. Pretty and complex nose, and medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, spices, very light oak, licorice and chocolates. Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
