The Mignon family comes from a line of winegrowers native from Mesnil-le-Huttier, a little hamlet of Festigny, a village located a few kilometres away from Epernay, the capital city of champagne. The Vallée de la Marne vineyard runs alongside Côte des Blancs, well-known for the quality of its Chardonnay. Champagne Charles Mignon has vines at the heart of the Great Growth village of Chouilly. Production notes
Hand-picked, the best grapes are selected to achieve the balance we're looking for. Whole bunches are pressed close to the vineyard plots, guaranteeing optimal quality. Vinification in small, thermo-regulated stainless steel vats to respect the characteristics of each terroir. A blend of clear wine and red wine from the prestigious Bouzy village classified as a Grand Cru produces a unique, high-quality rosé blend.
Tasting notes
A fresh, generous nose, with red fruit aromas of Morello cherry, cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry. Beautiful complexity. The generosity of the Pinot Noir and the freshness of the Chardonnay bring balance and delicate red fruit aromas. A long, smooth finish.
