ORGANIC VINEYARDS IN POITEVINE Ampelidae is based in the southern part of the Loire Valley, in Marigny-Brizay. This large-scale region follows the course of France's longest river, crossing 14 départements from the Massif Armoricain to the Monts d'Auvergne. This long-ignored vineyard has its roots in a very ancient past. Traces of vine-growing in Vienne date back to 276 AD. Production notes
Soil(s): Chalk, clay and limestone. Vinification: Harvested at night (low temperature), protected by dry ice and bio-protection. Pressing with closed-tank pneumatic press. Separation of first and final pressings. Tight cold settling. Cold stabilization for 1 week, fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting notes
This Sauvignon, grown in the south of the Loire Valley, reveals all the aromatic complexity of the grape variety. This dry wine, mineral at first glance, reveals aromas of lemon, pineapple, mango and gooseberry on the palate. Food pairing: Perfect with seafood, goat's cheese and sushi.
