Production notes
Terroir : Clay and sandy soils with flint on a white tuffeau rockbed The grapes are harvested at full maturity, in order to keep silkiness and fruitiness of the wine. Harvest is handpicked , destemmed and transferred to thermoregulated tanks. The maceration lasts approximately 2 weeks with daily pumping-over and punching down during the alcoholic fermentation. The extraction is light in order to obtain a vibrant and succulent wine. Aging : 7 months in stainless steel tank.
Tasting notes
“Medium to deep ruby red colour. Youthful nose offering white pepper, fresh herbs, sweet plum and red berries. A rather dense palate with youthful texture but rather soft tannin, darker fruit a bit cabernet franc-like with cassis and bay leaf notes, ripe fruit backed by a fresh acidityand fine length.” Andreas Larsson (Best Sommelier of the World 2007) - November 2023
