Château de la Gardine is a family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Three generations of winemakers passionately craft wines renowned for their authentic expression of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir and their ageing potential. Overlooking the Rhône, Château de la Gardine's vines surround the winery and are planted on typical Châteauneuf-du-Pape soils: limestone, sand and rolled pebbles. In 1963, the estate expanded northwards, acquiring vines in the Rasteau and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages appellations. Then, in 1998, the Brunel family moved to Lirac, on the other side of the Rhône, at Château Saint-Roch. Since 2007, under the Brunel de la Gardine brand, the Brunel family has been selecting wines from the northern and southern Côtes-du-Rhône crus. The purest, unvarnished expression of the terroir of origin, the nobility of the raw material and the vintage: this is the challenge that all members of the Brunel family set themselves every year, with the greatest respect for the natural environment that surrounds them.
