Production notes

Average age of vines: 60 to over 100 years. Vinification: 3/4 of the harvest unstemmed. 10 months in one- and two-wine barrels. Then 12 months in tuns. Tronçais - Allier. Bottled without fining or filtration.

Tasting notes

To the eye: Powerful red. On the nose: Fruity bouquet of dried plums and raspberries, with spicy notes reminiscent of juniper and black pepper, black olives and thyme. On the palate: Aromas of blue and black berries with well-integrated toasty nuances of caramelized almonds and nutty chocolate, a discreet note of eucalyptus, dense and pleasantly rich. Food & wine pairing: Goes very well with grilled meats, beef bourguignon, coq au vin, matured hard or soft cheeses.
