Production notes

The grapes are hand-picked at the end of summer when they are perfectly ripe, generally in October. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks takes 10 to 12 days. The charm of a complex wine like Brunello di Montalcino comes from the aging period during which the freshly fermented wine matures and slowly absorbs the aromas and fragrances of the wood in the barrel. The wine remains in oak barrels for at least 2 years and then rests in the bottle for a further 6 months. Before bottling, the wine is stored in a temperature-controlled environment.

Tasting notes

Almost impenetrable dark red color, sustained and round with complex notes of licorice and ripe black cherry. Ripe, spicy fruit with black skin on the palate, smooth tannins display great elegance. Food pairing: Red meat, dishes in sauce and mature cheeses.
