The Château de Meursault estate is located in the Côte de Beaune, on the magnificent terroirs of Meursault, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, Beaune and the hill of Corton. The Château, orangery, former winery, outbuildings, dovecote, park and orchard make up a vast 10-hectare complex, now refocused on biodiversity and sustainable development. Production notes
Soil type(s): Brown clay-limestone Manual sorting of bunches before destemming, followed by optical sorting of berries to select only the best, which are placed in vats for 15 to 18 days for cold prefermentation maceration and 5 to 6 days for alcoholic fermentation. Alternating punching down and pumping over to promote gentle extraction. Aged on lees for 15 months in new barrels (33%) and one- to two-wine barrels.
