About this winery
Champagne Paul Goerg is one of the few winegrowers' houses in Champagne. It was founded in 1950, when eight winegrowing families from Vertus decided to join forces and pool their vineyards. For the past three years, Maison Paul Goerg, based in Vertus, has been applying a plot-based selection system to its vineyards. Vinification is then carried out in special small vats.

Production notes
Paul Goerg's Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Champagne is born from vineyards located in the exceptional terroir of the Côte des Blancs, in the heart of Champagne. It is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, harvested entirely by hand. The wine is aged for at least 3 years before disgorgement, followed by an additional aging period of about 4 to 6 months after disgorgement.
Tasting notes
A pale yellow color with green highlights. Abundant, persistent foam with extremely fine beading. A deliciously creamy nose with notes of aquatic white flowers and white fruits such as peach and ripe pear. Fresh and lemony on the palate. A persistent, delicate smoothness that is the charm of this pure Chardonnay Champagne. A perfect cuvée for aperitifs, especially in spring and summer, with raw vegetables from the garden. Food & wine pairings: A perfect match for oysters, fish in mousseline sauce or white fish sashimi. With cheese, this Blanc de Blancs goes well with chaource or fresh goat's cheese. For dessert, fresh fig soup or fruit in syrup.
